Mark Raines serves as Vice President for Public Relations at CJRW. He joined the firm in May of 2014 following a seven-year stint in the oil and gas business, where he served as Director of External Affairs and Government Relations for Chesapeake Energy and then BHP Petroleum.

Mark has a wealth of experience in guiding companies through complex media issues, as well as management and communications challenges. Mark also enjoyed a 25-year career in broadcast journalism, working in both radio and television. Most recently, he was news director for KTHV Channel 11, the CBS affiliate in Little Rock. He's also a former reporter and producer for Little Rock’s NBC affiliate.

His favorite place in Arkansas is Petit Jean Mountain State Park, since there are so many walking and hiking options along with beautiful waterfalls. When he's not working, you can find him on the golf course.
