Position: Media Buyer/Planner
Reports To: SVP, Director of Media Innovation
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Media Buyer/Planner to join our CJRW team! The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in planning, buying, and optimizing media campaigns across both digital and traditional channels, with a strong emphasis on programmatic buying. This role involves collaborating with internal teams, negotiating media placements, and analyzing campaign performance to meet client goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute media plans across digital and traditional platforms to support client objectives.
- Negotiate, place, and monitor media buys across all channels to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze media performance, preparing digital analytics tracking reports with actionable insights.
- Leverage Basis software for programmatic media buying, ensuring targeted and cost-effective campaigns.
- Research and recommend media opportunities to enhance campaign reach and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Creative and Client Services teams to ensure seamless execution of media plans.
- Manage budgeting, billing, invoicing, and post-campaign reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Build and maintain relationships with media vendors, securing the best rates and opportunities.
- Present media plans, strategies, and performance results to clients, both independently and with the support of management.
Qualifications:
- 2 + years of experience in media planning and buying, with expertise in both digital and traditional channels.
- Knowledge of digital media (display, video, audio) and traditional media (broadcast/cable TV, radio, print, OOH).
- Hands-on experience in programmatic buying; proficiency in Basis programmatic software is a plus.
- Proficiency in media research tools and software – Strata, Nielsen, SQAD, Kantar/SRDS, eMarketer, and Google Analytics.
- Strong understanding of media analytics tools and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams and present media strategies and results to clients.
- Established relationships with media vendors and sales representatives.
- Experience staying current with media trends, technologies, and best practices in the industry.
- Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
