Leslie Heizman Joins CJRW as Senior Vice President
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (September 23, 2008) – Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods, one of the Mid South’s largest full-service communications firms, announced today that Leslie Heizman will join the agency on October 6, 2008, as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  Heizman will be responsible for leading the agency’s effort to introduce new products and services into the market.

"I was raised in broadcast sales and have spent most of my 30-year career in advertising sales," said Heizman.  "Television stations are also advertising agencies, with the sole client being the station.  While the communications market is immersed in rapid change, I look forward to working with an advertising institution like CJRW and helping clients develop the entire marketing package."

Heizman graduated from Southwestern at Memphis (now Rhodes College).  Since that time she has held various positions in the Little Rock television market including reporter, news producer and account executive at KATV-TV and Local Sales Manager at KARK-TV.

Since 1996, Heizman has worked for Gannett Broadcasting and for KTHV-TV, the CBS affiliate in Little Rock owned by Gannett.  In 2007, she was named Vice President and General Sales Manager for the station.

In welcoming Leslie to the agency, David Martin, CJRW’s chief executive officer said, "CJRW has been aggressive in our efforts to meet the changing communications market with products and services that meet the client needs.  We are excited that Leslie will join our team and help our clients better access the full complement of general and specialty practices inside CJRW.  Leslie has a proven track record in sales and marketing and we look forward to the contributions she will make on behalf of our agency and our clients."

Brian Kratkiewicz, VP and director of media, interactive and account services at CJRW was recently featured in an article for DMNews, discussing Arkansas Parks and Tourism's use of online ads targeted at mobile phones on Accuweather.com.  “[Weather] is a really good fit for mobile. If we serve it up in reference to a location that they are interested in or based on where they are, you've got something that changes all the time and is personal to the user.” Mobile marketing has grown from 2% to 11% of the online Arkansas tourism budget.

        The Staycation

A Theme Park in Your Backyard

        Magic Springs

        The Staycation

Summer is just around the bend, and the cost of gas is rising at an alarming rate. So Magic Springs wanted to remind Arkansas families that the best vacation this year was a "staycation," one where families stay closer to home. We created a campaign, "A theme park in your own backyard," that reminds Arkansans just how close to home Magic Springs really is.
          Pollo Campero

Creative concepts for the Pollo Campero brand were developed with several key elements in mind. Bold, Latin inspired colors dance among beautiful photography, where the food is clearly the hero. The message for the brand playfully encompasses the idea of "love," and is threefold. It addresses the love within the company, where the fresh, food is lovingly prepared; the zest with which the Latin culture loves life, as well as the cult-like following this brand has created in every country it enters. Pollo Campero truly is the Latin chicken loved around the world.

            Traveling Music

The new campaign for the Arkansas Department of Parks & Tourism features a song by The Boondogs, a favorite on the local music scene. To showcase this native talent, as well as the beauty of The Natural State, CJRW and Jones Productions created this music video featuring scenic tourism shots and a live performance of "I Do," from the album "A Thousand Ships" available now from Max Recordings and on iTunes.

New Campaign for the Spa City

The Hot Springs Advertising and Promotion commission recently approved the "Night & Day. Day & Night" campaign created by Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods to promote tourism in "America's First Resort." The strategy behind the campaign recognizes that hundreds of thousands of visitors come to Hot Springs every year for such attractions as Oaklawn Park, Magic Springs & Crystal Falls, and Garvan Woodland Gardens—but many just make it a day trip. Our goal is to get visitors to stay overnight and enjoy the many other activities in the Spa City, such as fine dining, shopping and relaxing baths. The first spot is targeted at couples, and the second is aimed at families. The campaign also includes print, outdoor, radio, and a three minute online video showcasing the romantic possibilities available in Hot Springs National Park.
